Profile Kingston Magazine, Sept 12th issue

Guess who landed the cover of this September's Profile Kingston Magazine?  (dusts off a shoulder) I'm incredibly honored to be featured along side of Peter Taylor and Katherine Stone in this issue and hope that you'll seek out a copy and learn a few unexpected things about me.

"Published bimonthly, this glossy city magazine features the stories, accomplishments and passions of Kingstonians."  -KP

June 26th: Heather Haynes Gallery Gananoque

Finishing up my 3rd Tuesday moonlighting at The Heather Haynes Gallery in beautiful Gananoque.  I've been painting live, scenes from the area.  What a great excuse to explore the area to collect images to work from.  I've some VERY COOL people through this experience and I'm quite inspired to do a series on the 1000 Islands so hit me up with any hot tips that I should check out. Tomorrow is my last scheduled live painting session so stop in if you're around.

oh, and here's one in progress from last week...

ON THE AIR! cfrc 101.9

Did a spot on cfrc 101.9 chatting with Jewel Aksel Richard about my art and Art After Dark. You can listen to the May 15 Business of Art Archives (30:40). I'm on after Author Michael Barclay promoting his new book "The Never-Ending Present: The Story of Gord Downie and the Tragically Hip"

Make a drinking game out of it... every time I stall, take a shot!

Chasing Waterfalls Again

The weather promised to be a warm 7 degrees Celsius so, with the permission of the landowners, I lugged the big easel up the stream to the base of the falls.  The temperature was chilly and the rock i was sitting in was pointy but I managed to out 3.5 hours down on this 16x20. Ive got to say, I'm pretty proud of myself right now.

Vancouver Island

I don't always climb mountains but, when I do, I carry 15lbs of art supplies to the top for the best spot to paint

New pieces are up at The Small Batch Cafe & Eatery

Go see them for yourself and have great cup of coffee while you're there.  The staff are gorgeous people and the other guests are not snooty like they are in other places.  It's a great social place with an ever changing display of local talent.
